Marinating The Beef

To infuse the beef with flavour, it’s essential to marinate it.

Add the soy sauce, cornflour, minced garlic, and onion powder in a bowl.

Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are well combined.

Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, stirring to coat the beef evenly.

Allow the beef to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or for more flavour, refrigerate it for up to 2 hours.

Preparing The Broccoli

While the beef marinates, prepare the broccoli.

Begin by washing the broccoli florets thoroughly under cold running water.

Trim any excess stalks and separate the florets into bite-sized pieces.

Pat them dry using kitchen paper to remove any excess water.

Cooking The Beef And Broccoli

Preheat your air fryer to 190C / 380F for 8 minutes.

Add the broccoli florets to the basket. Season the broccoli with salt and pepper and spray with cooking oil.

Cook for 8 minutes. Shake frequently until the broccoli starts to brown and crisp.

Remove the broccoli from the basket and set aside.

Place the marinated beef into the basket, spread it out in a single layer and don’t overlap.

Spray with cooking oil and cook for 15 minutes, shaking often.

Making The Beef And Broccoli Sauce

Add the brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce, white wine vinegar, beef stock, garlic and cornflour in a bowl. Stir well to combine.

Pour the sauce mix into a pan then add the broccoli and beef.

Over a medium heat stir until the sauce has thickened and coated the beef and broccoli.

Serve and Enjoy

Your Air Fryer Beef & Broccoli is now ready.

For an added touch, you can garnish the dish with sesame seeds or chopped spring onions.

Serve the beef and broccoli over rice or noodles and enjoy!
