About Me
Based in Cardiff in the UK, I'm married with two grown up daughters and four beautiful grandchildren.
I retired early after 25 years working for a Utility Company due to spinal issues and a chronic pain condition that regularly haunts me.
I was diagnosed with Scheuermann's disease and a curvature of the spine in my teens.
Although I look after my grandchild one day a week (as you do when you retire) I soon needed something to occupy my spare time.
I like to be busy! Hence my website.

So, why the blog?
Well, I've developed a passion for creating delicious and healthy meals using the magic of the air fryer.
With 3 years of experience in the world of air frying, I've decided to share my passion and expertise with you.
I've developed a love for creating delicious and healthy meals using less oil.
My journey started when I purchased my first air fryer (Ninja Max Dual AF400UK), a moment that ignited my love for transforming ordinary ingredients into healthy dishes.
I envisioned a space where air frying enthusiasts (like you and me!) can discover exciting recipes, learn helpful tips, and join a community that enjoys air frying.
What to Expect
With Simplyairfrying, expect a medley of ordinary and extraordinary recipes all converted to the air fryer, air fried with precision and sprinkled with my unique touch.

Memorable Moment
One of the most unforgettable moments in my air frying journey was the day I received an email saying I had been nominated for an award.
As my website was just over a year old I was completely blown away.
I later won the award for Best Emerging Air Fryer Guide 2023.
Beyond the Kitchen
When I'm not busy in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, you'll find me reading and learning about my other passion Interior Design.
These activities not only keep me grounded but also balanced and creative.
